...well i assure you that i am very much not dead unless you count the rotting flesh and sudden craving for brains as something that i should be concerned about. (well i did go to a doctor about this but he said it was just a mild skin irritation and that there was no need to panic. did i mention that he was untrained, unlicensed and unprofessional?) anyway life is good in MIA-land and i dont apologize for dropping off the face of the planet (even though reentry was quite messy.) so hopefully i will get more shit done and maybe start writing again.

yeah im now 24 years old....also it is the 10th anniversary of the loss of the space shuttle Columbia. may those brave souls rest in peace.

just got a call from my dad that my grandfather has broken his hip. from what information we know so far, he was helping someone change a tire and he tripped over the jack or tire iron. this weekend dad and i will be going to visit him. i just hope he is alright. at 93 years old things dont heal like they should.

road sign spotted on highway 9 just south of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton. it was one of those large flashy signs. i thought it was funny and worth sharing. its good to know i am not the only civil person out there.

i usually try to remain somewhat polite and civil when it comes to staying at other people's locations since staying at my own is usually the greater of two evils, however my attempts to get any reasonable amount of sleep is not happening. for one reason or another my friends parents find it almost impossible to be quiet in the morning. i know that this is their house and that i am just a guest but still being polite and respectful is something that people should be. when i have guests staying at my place, however rare, i dont make any noise until that guest is fully awake. if noise cannot be avoided, such as talking to someone on the phone or whatnot, i take the call outside into the garage or use headphones on electronics. hell i dont even take a shower until everyone is awake. i guess that everyone just has different standards and i need to find somewhere more quiet to get some well needed sleep.

as a note i am writing to vent so i do not do something impolite and uncalled for since i am not the most friendly person when sleep is interrupted.
